1. How can machine learning support people's existing creative practices? Expand people's creative capabilities?
    1. Generative AI like DALLE and Midjourney can create very detailed and beautiful work within seconds. Artists could use this to create images to trace and base their work off of. This would help save time in the brainstorming process by quickly generating “sketches” of what the artist is considering. Other uses of AI like body mapping can be used to create highly interactive pieces that work with the human body, like the wing projection exhibit shown in class.
  2. My idea is to create a meditation room that uses peoples physical and brain activity as inputs, and as the more calm and still one becomes, the room would fill with projected visuals. The more calm and meditative one is, the more intense the visuals would become. This would use cameras and haptic sensors as inputs and projected visuals as the output.
  3. I added on to what we created in class to make a program that can read hand signals of numbers. By looking at the positions of each finger it can detect which number people are holding up.
